Year 12 Engineering students got a glimpse of the future down in Farnborough when they travelled in sporting celebrity style to the the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Show.

The show, which took place on 9 February, is the most comprehensive annual industrial exhibition in the UK and a major pan-European showcase for new technology in machinery, production equipment, electronic production and assembly, tooling and components as well as subcontract services across an impressively wide range of industry.

Head of Engineering Sarah Crooks said: “It was an opportunity for our students to see the engineering processes that they have been learning about on their BTEC Level 3 and talk to industry experts.  Students engaged with a wide range of companies and potential employers.

“We were also lucky enough to travel on the Barnes coach used by Swindon Town FC which was very fancy!!”
