Recognised for championing cyber skills

UTC Swindon has been given special recognition for its high standard of cyber security teaching.

The STEM-focused school, which specialises in engineering and cyber security, has received a CyberFirst School Bronze award from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) in a programme developed to encourage and support students interested in pursuing a career in cyber security.

The CyberFirst School programme certifies schools committed to developing young people’s cyber skills. Successful schools receive a range of benefits, including official recognition from the NCSC and opportunities to collaborate on cyber-related activities with more than 130 CyberFirst partner organisations from industries as varied as banking, telecoms and transport.
