Careers Fair inspires students

Students looked to their future on Monday, 11 December, when UTC Swindon hosted a Careers Fair, bringing together employers and education providers to guide and inspire students across all year groups.

The event aimed to help students explore their career options and make informed decisions about their futures.

James from the Royal Agricultural University, said: “It’s been a really positive event; the students have been asking about quite a diverse range of careers from business to agriculture to real estate and are really engaged.”

Christos, a Year 11 and Vice Chair of Student Board, shared his enthusiasm: “Today has been a great experience, I really enjoy these kinds of events where the employers come in and give you really good advice. I particularly enjoyed talking to the RAF as I am looking for a policing role and they have RAF police, and so their course interests me. For us, these events happen all the time, which I don’t think you get elsewhere”.

The Careers Fair featured exhibitors from an array of industries and educational institutions, including:

  • Royal Agricultural University
  • AirTanker
  • TEDI London
  • Batten & Allen Ltd
  • New College Swindon
  • Oxford Brookes University
