On Saturday 29 September, UTC Swindon held its first Open Event of the academic year for prospective students and their parents to take a look around the school and get a feel for life at a UTC.

The event, which ran from 10am to 1pm, saw prospective students and their families taking a tour through its facilities and departments, led by a current UTC Swindon student, offering up first-hand experience of their time at the school, along with the chance to ask any questions.

Visitors were then guided to the main hall for a talk from Principal, Jon Oliver and Business Relations Manager, Mike Halliday. The presentation included key information about how a UTC is different to traditional education and what benefits this brings to students, as well as information on the new Pipeline Programme for KS5 and how the industry partnerships work.

Thank you to all who came along. We hope you are considering us for a September 2019 start.

UTC Swindon will be hosting another open event on Saturday 1 December from 10am to 1pm. To register for this event, please book here.
