New Digital Media A Level offered at UTC Swindon

posted in: Homepage | 0

From September 2020, UTC Swindon will be offering sixth form students the chance to study digital media.

The University Technical College (UTC) specialising in Engineering and Digital Technologies discovered that there was high demand from students to offer this subject, wanting to complement their digital technologies specialism with a creative course.

Students who have a passion for gaming, music, social media, photography or film would be well suited to digital media. The course explores all aspects of digital media, in particular, imagery, video, video games, websites and electronic media. Students will enhance their practical skills, build on research and gain a deeper understanding of the role media plays in everyday life.

These highly transferable skills can be applied across a wide range of areas including marketing and broadcasting and secure places at top universities or apprenticeships in industry.

With the modern, high-tech facilities on offer at UTC Swindon, students studying this course will get access to all the latest digital equipment and software.
