UTC Swindon strengthen employer relations through launch of new innovation hub
The launch of the new Education Innovation Hub at UTC Swindon took place on Wednesday 27 June 2018, under the Fujitsu Education Ambassador Programme, supported by Intel, Brocade and Kyocera.
UTC Swindon launch new digital courses from September 2018
UTC Swindon will be expanding its digital curriculum with courses, facilities and partners that will give students a unique advantage in digital and cyber security careers.
From September 2018, four new courses will be available to support the Digital Technologies Specialism, launched earlier this year. This week UTC Swindon also launched its new Fujitsu Innovation Hub, giving students access to fantastic digital facilities to learn in.
MP joins students to get a taste of the future at UTC Swindon open event
UTC Swindon welcomed in prospective students and their families at its latest open event on Saturday 30 June.
Visitors were given a tour of the college to learn more about its unique learning environment, superb facilities and outstanding career opportunities.
Robert Buckland, Conservative MP for South Swindon, joined Wiltshire youngsters interested in pursuing careers in engineering and digital technologies. He was also shown the new the Fujitsu Innovation Hub that opened on 27 June 2018.
The Cyber Security Award
To meet the growing need for cyber security professionals to combat international cyber crime, UTC Swindon has joined forces with other cyber UTCs across the country to form the UTC CYBER GROUP, which will officially launch in September 2018.
Each student who is accepted onto the prestigious Cyber Pipeline Programme will receive meaningful work experience in the field, mentoring, soft skills training, and technical skills training from some of the biggest companies in the world.
